In particular, the firing of two creative leads, Ka’ai Cluney and Brian Mitsoda, seems to have done real damage to the production. If you don’t quite remember, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 came close to being cancelled, and at one point lost its entire development studio. While four years is a normal period of time to produce a AAA game (might even be too short nowadays), Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 also faced numerous challenges in its development. For what it’s worth, Paradox announced the game all the way back in 2019.
